Acumen Transition

The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Vendor Fiscal/Employer Agent (VF/EA) Self-Directed Employee Model is transitioning in 2025 from Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) as the fiscal intermediary to Acumen Fiscal Agent (Acumen).

Fiscal Intermediary Transition Timeline:

Transition enrollments with Acumen will happen at staggered intervals over the next four months, with groups of participants called cohorts assigned to enroll within a specific window of time. Using this approach will help ensure a smooth and organized transition for everyone. It is important that participants complete and return enrollment documents early in their enrollment window. Doing so will give your Support Coordinator time to update and approve your service plan.

If you are in one of the following categories, we recommend you attend upcoming webinars or view the attached PDF in the documents section below:

·        Support Coordinators and Supervisors

·        Supports Brokers

·        Individuals/families who have one or more services provided by a vendor that is enrolled with and paid through PPL

·        Individuals/families who have one or more Self-Directed Employees who are enrolled with and paid through PPL

·        Vendors that provide DDD-funded services for individuals and are enrolled with and paid through PPL

We understand you may need help completing the transition paperwork. Acumen’s New Jersey Agents will collaborate with your Support Coordinator to ensure timely submission of all necessary documents. Acumen will offer opportunities for online/remote training, in-person enrollment sessions throughout New Jersey, and virtual help sessions to answer your questions.
