Disability Right NJ: How to Report Abuse or Neglect 

Any person, including a guardian or family member, who suspects abuse, neglect and/or exploitation of an adult with an intellectual or developmental disability can call the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) hotline 24 hours a day, 365 days a year:

Office of Investigations Information

The Department of Human Services (DHS) Office of Investigations (OI) is responsible for investigating the most serious incidents involving abuse, neglect, or exploitation of individuals receiving services through DHS.

DDD is committed to promoting the services and resources available through DHS and our community partners to help caregivers safeguard their well‑being and access the mental health support they deserve.
